People keep asking me what is a lifestyle newborn photography so I decided to write a blog to answer this question. At-home lifestyle newborn sessions are about the connection and love that family members already have for this new life. I’ll capture special moments with each family member and the baby as well as the family all together.
I don’t take typical new-born photos. I don’t use props, bean bags or special outfits. Lifestyle newborn sessions are done in your home where you can feel so much relaxed and all family can be involved and yes, even daddy who never enjoys photos taken is more keen to take a part A big sister or brother can cuddle with a baby, even a dog can be a hero here.
Where will we shoot?
I like to explore and take a use of nursery room, bedroom living room, or maybe even a garden if the weather is kind. There is no need to worry if baby doesn’t sleep, or it is time to feed. Or maybe your house is in a mess? You just had a baby! All you need to do is open the blinds, quickly move things out of the area I am shooting.
What should we wear?
I recommend keeping it simple and comfortable. All natural colors like cream, whites, pastels work the best.
What can I do before the session?
It is a special time in your life, and it is what I love to capture during the session. What you need to do is to try to relax and let me take a lead of everything – I will create images that you will adore forever 🙂
